Melody grew up surrounded by creativity and learned the art of photography from her father at a young age. She has explored various forms of creative expression, including designing custom furniture for Black Wolf Design.
Melody began her studies at the University of Minnesota and has trained extensively in the art of black and white photography. She earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts with an emphasis on photography and ceramics from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, and she also studied in Italy as part of a summer photography program.
Melody has lectured on the subject of photography and strongly believes in the importance of continuing education. Her vision of natural portraiture that uncovers each subject's true personality sparked the creation of Limelite Studios in June 2004.
